International Evening: Mobility Programs and Student Experiences
On 17 February 2026, at the beginning of the spring semester, the International Relations Office once again organized its International Evening, which attracted considerable interest.
During the event, Dr. Andor Pajrok, International Relations Coordinator of the College, delivered an informative presentation on the mobility programs available at the institution, with particular emphasis on the Erasmus+ programme and the opportunities it offers for study abroad and traineeships. He explained which countries students can apply to, the possible duration of mobility periods, and the types of financial support available. His presentation clearly outlined the application requirements, the steps of the application process, and practical information to support successful applications.
A special highlight of the evening was the opportunity to meet the newly arrived Erasmus+ students from II. Rákóczi Ferenc Transcarpathian Hungarian College of Higher Education, who will continue their studies in Business Administration and Management during the spring semester. The four students introduced their home institution, its academic programmes, student life, and the distinctive features of Hungarian higher education in Transcarpathia.
Prior to the International Evening, the visiting students were also received in the Rector’s Office by Dr. Ibolya Szinger, Rector of the College. On this occasion, the Rector presented them with small gifts and expressed her best wishes, hoping they would gain valuable professional experiences and feel at home in Baja and within the College community.
The event also welcomed Petrescu Adina Elena, staff member of the International Relations Office of the 1 Decembrie 1918 University of Alba Iulia, who was completing a training mobility at the College.
Students who had participated in international mobility programs during the autumn semester of the 2025/2026 academic year also shared their experiences. Zsófia Bauer, Máté Gerhardt, Balázs Horváth and Szabolcs Sipos, students of Business Administration and Management, spoke about the Erasmus+ BIP programme organized by the 1 Decembrie 1918 University of Alba Iulia. They reflected on their professional and language development, challenges and successes, new friendships, and how their international experiences shaped their perspectives and future plans.
Kinga Kovács, a final-year Preschool Education student, is currently completing her compulsory traineeship in Croatia within the Erasmus+ programme at the Liszt Street Hungarian Kindergarten. She sent a video message to the International Evening, sharing her first impressions of her placement.
The atmosphere of the evening was further enhanced by an interactive quiz. Good spirits and friendly competition quickly filled the hall, and the most successful participants received small prizes. The game not only provided entertainment but also helped deepen participants’ understanding of the mobility opportunities presented.
The International Evening created a genuine meeting point for prospective applicants, experienced mobility participants, and incoming international students, further strengthening the spirit of international cooperation and community within the institution.
