Is the College provide a place in the dormitory for international students?


Yes, we provide room for our incoming students in the dormitory. The newly renovated Beszédes József Halls of Residence is situated in the most panoramic surroundings in Baja. The Halls can offer accommodation for 240 students. There are three types of accommodation to choose from:

  • Room with 2 beds, en-suite bathroom, and kitchenette
  • Apartment with a bathroom and two 2-bed rooms
  • Room with 3 beds, en-suite bathroom, (access to the communal kitchen)

Most rooms have a balcony that enjoys a view of the Sugovica River. There is internet access in all rooms. There are rooms available for residents with disabilities. The entire building is accessible to residents with disabilities. There is a separate space for gym activities.

What scholarship programs are available at this college?


The most popular scholarship program is Erasmus +, but you could also apply for a scholarship within the framework of the Stipendium Hungaricum Programme. More information is under the Scholarships menu. 

Can I take part in Hungarian lessons? I would like to learn some basics of Hungarian.


If you would like to participate in Hungarian language classes, you may take them as an optional subject. The course materials will be provided by the teacher(s). To successfully complete the subject, you must pass an exam during the semester.

What kind of courses does the College offer for incoming students?


If your English proficiency is at least at an intermediate level, we recommend applying for the Business Administration and Management programme. If you are not fully confident in your English skills, you may choose to enrol in our fee-based English Preparatory Course, which is available in both half-year and one-year formats.Additionally, you have the option to attend classes in Croatian within the Pedagogy field. How can I apply?


You may submit your application to Eötvös József College for the following programmes:

  • EU-accredited Bachelor (undergraduate) programme in English: Business and Management (BA)
  • Preparatory Course

Admission requirements for the Bachelor programme:

  • Secondary school leaving certificate (school report)
  • English language certificate or internationally recognised language exam
  • Completed application form
  • Passport with a minimum of 5 years’ validity
  • Medical and police clearance certificates

All documents may be submitted electronically in scanned format. Please ensure that clearly legible copies of the relevant passport pages are provided.

I would like to do some sport during the semester. What are my options for this?


Students can choose from many different sports activities. The College has its own Dragon Boat Team and Handball Team. In addition, the Student Council organizes the College Footie Championship each semester. The College has won funding under the “Sport in Higher Education” program, with the result that our students can take part in the following organized sports activities free of charge: yoga, volleyball, football, running, floorball, dragon boating, hiking, bicycle tours
Eötvös József College offers sportscard to its students and staff to support healthy living. Cardholders can participate in several sports events for free, organized by the school every week. These sport events are dance, yoga, aerobics, basketball, badminton, and volleyball. Above this, the swimming pool is free for students two times a week. 

How can I apply for Student Card? What is the benefit of this card?


The student card (in Hungarian: diákigazolvány) is a document that proves that you are officially a student at EJC. With this document, you can get student discounts. For example, if you want to travel, you can buy a bus or train ticket at half price with this card.


To get a new student card, you must have an official photo taken and give your official signature at „Központi Okmányiroda”. The officer will give you a NEK  datasheet. With this NEK identification number, you can start the request of the student card on your Neptun site. We will assist you during the administration.

Which events and programs I can take part in?


There is a wide range of cultural programs and sports activities organized for the students of Eötvös József Főiskola: Freshers’ Week, Freshers' Ball, Halloween Pentathlon, Student's day and many others. As part of the curriculum, students can participate in drama and/or singing and music classes. The College has its own choir.

How can I get my residence permit card?


The College provides assistance to the students in the preparation of papers and takes part personally in the office in the administrative process.
