CONDITIONS OF ELIGIBILITY
The necessary requirements to become a CEEPUS student are:
· to be a student of a university in a CEEPUS country
· to be a citizen of a CEEPUS member state (or of a EU/EWR state respectively). Students who do not have the citizenship of a CEEPUS member state need to upload an „equal status document" (visa, residence permit) to apply.
· two semesters completed of a regular course of studies during the exchange.
· it is not allowed to receive second mobility scholarship from other source (avoiding double financing)
CEEPUS STUDENT MOBILITY TO HUNGARY
There are two ways of submitting your CEEPUS Student Mobility application:
· Within a CEEPUS network
If your home institution is part of a CEEPUS network that has a relevant scientific topic for you, you can submit your application within that network, to the available Hungarian partner institutions. The call for applications will be published by the institution and the local network coordinator carries out the selection.
· As Freemover
If your home institution is not part of a CEEPUS network that has a relevant scientific topic for you, you can choose to submit a Freemover application. Any of the accredited Hungarian higher educational institutions can be chosen as host institution. Freemovers need to find and contact the Hungarian host university themselves.
Length of mobility: 1 semester, 3-5 months
Eligible applicants:Bachelor
GENERAL SEMESTER DURATION IN HUNGARY
First/Winter/Autumn semester: 1st September – 31 January
Second/Summer/Spring semester: 1st February – 30th June
Holiday season: 1st July – 31st August
CEEPUS TEACHER MOBILITY TO HUNGARY
There are two ways of submitting your CEEPUS Teacher Mobility application:
· Within a CEEPUS network
If your home institution is part of a CEEPUS network that has a relevant scientific topic for you, you can submit your application within that network, to the available Hungarian partner institutions. The call for applications will be published by the institution and the local network coordinator carries out the selection.
· As Freemover
If your home institution is not part of a CEEPUS network that has a relevant scientific topic for you, you can choose to submit a Freemover application. Any of the accredited Hungarian higher educational institutions can be chosen as host institution. Freemovers need to find and contact the Hungarian host university themselves.
Mandatory teaching activity at the host institution: minimum 6 teaching hours (lecture or seminar)
Lengh of stay: minimum 5 working days (which technically counts 1 scholarship month in the www.ceepus.info system)
Timing: during semesters
Research activities, conference visit or partner meetings, etc. cannot be the only aim of a teacher mobility
APLICATION DEADLINES
· 15 June for the Autumn term
· 31 October for the Spring term
· freemover mobility for the summer/second semester: 30th November
SCHOLARSHIP RATES Academic Year 2022/2023
Students: 170 000,00 HUF
Teachers: 190 000,00 HUF
The grant is a comprehensive amount which not necessarily covers all costs of living and travelling.
